If you're thinking of joining, I feel the need to note that this is a discussion forum, and not some kind of online Pokemon game (as awesome as that would be). We get tons of members getting this confused, and we certainly wouldn't want to waste your time if this place isn't what you were looking for.

You might also find that the activity level is rather low around here. This is mostly due to lack of new members that stick around. I'm sure if we had a few more, all the many members would eventually come out of hiding. Why not sign up and stay for a while. Who knows? You may be surprised.

Here's your chance to earn another easy badge. Simply post in this thread before the deadline, and you'll earn a Roll Call Badge. Easy as that.

The purpose of this is to give me a good idea of how many people are still around here. I request that, even if the deadline has already passed, that you will still post in this thread anyway.

I will be posting these Roll Calls from time to time, but there will be no set time. As long as you're fairly active around here, there's almost no way you can miss these.


The deadline for this Roll Call will be one week from now. All posts after July 26th will not count for getting you a badge.

I have finally come across the real reason people seem to think this site is a game! The real reason has been hiding right under our noses the whole time. Check this out!

Does it make sense yet? It should. According to what I found out browsing that site, it's name changed to Pokemon Adventures around the end of April. Is it any coincidence that the "is this a game" posts seemed to start popping up constantly around that time? Clearly, it's not. These people were mistaking us for them due to them changing their name to something absurdly similar to us.

Now, what does this mean for PA? Nothing really. We'll just have to deal with it. But at least now we know why this has been happening, so we can now probably redirect people that mistake us for them.



Really, though, I just find this whole thing hilarious now. :monocle:

Another PA Chat?

Some of you have requested another PA Chat. This time, we're going to try it out on Skype. This seems a lot more flexible than previous attempts (with AIM) since the group chat features seem better. Furthermore, you have the option of using voice/video chat if you want, but it is mostly a text based chat.

I think it's worth trying out. There's already a few people in there. If you sign up, contact me (of course, my name is gameguy888) and I can get you all set up and such.

I've been thinking lately, do you think we really need all those subforums in the Pokemon Games forum and the Video Games forum (one for each generation and one for each gaming company respectively)? I was thinking we could just dump everything into the base forum. I don't see these subforums as being really all that useful right now, but I could easily bring them back later if things get too confusing. I'm just thinking we don't need them right now since there aren't a lot of new posts in these boards lately, and they're just taking up space.
